I have created this blog to record as well as share my experiences of training in Japan. I have been very fortunate by the works of god to have been allowed such a unique opportunity to study with a true master Masaaki Hatsumi. I hope that these enteries will help everyone to better understand Soke’s art. I have been fortunate to live in Japan. This enabled me to have a better understanding of our art through the eyes of the country, language, and culture from which it was born. Kamioka-san once told me that I was very lucky to be able to understand Soke’s words directly. Oftentimes translations can be lost and or mistaken. Therefore, I would like to share my experiences with everyone.
